Time for a new adventure: Jewellery School Scotland's final workshops

After almost ten years of running Jewellery School Scotland, I've made the decision to stop teaching jewellery-making workshops in March 2027.

It's quite a big announcement, particularly as Jewellery School Scotland has been such an important part of my life for almost a decade. I've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of people, sharing my love of silver clay jewellery making and meeting so many wonderful people along the way. But as this chapter comes to an end, I'm also looking forward to what comes next.

Why I'm making this change

For many years, I've taught my workshops at the beautiful Arienas Collective in Edinburgh. My lovely friend Lynn, who runs the Collective, has decided to close it at the end of this financial year, after ten years in business. As she approaches her 70th year, she's looking forward to spending more time on her own creative projects, and I'm really pleased that she's making that choice for herself. Her decision also gave me an opportunity to think about what I want to do next.

Alongside Jewellery School Scotland, I've been building another business, Good Girl Rebellion, which has grown considerably over the past couple of years. My book, Good Girl Rebellion: Build the Business, Break the Rules, Be Limitless, became an international bestseller in 2025 and was shortlisted for a Business Book Award in 2026. I've also recorded the audiobook, and I'm increasingly being invited to write articles and speak at events.

These are opportunities I'm really excited about, and I'd like to have more time and energy to pursue them.

I have already cut down on the number of workshops I run, but if the Arienas Collective hadn't been closing, I might well have carried on teaching workshops for several more years. Sometimes a change in circumstances gives you the opportunity to look at things differently.

I've loved running Jewellery School Scotland, and I'm incredibly proud of what I've built. But I've also realised that just because you can keep doing something doesn't mean you have to. And for me, this feels like the right time to move on.

There's still time to make jewellery with me!

The good news is that we're not quite finished yet!

I'll be running workshops until March 2027, and all my currently planned workshop dates are now available to book, including those in 2027.

If you've been thinking about trying silver clay jewellery making, I'd love to welcome you to one of my final workshops. If you’ve been before and want to come to an intermediate workshop then now’s the time!

Whether you're completely new to jewellery making or you've been before and would love another go, there's still time to come along and create something beautiful.

It's also a lovely opportunity to give someone a creative experience for Christmas. Although I'm no longer selling gift vouchers, you can still book a place on a workshop as a present for someone.

I may be able to add a couple of additional taster workshops, depending on venue availability, but I can't guarantee any further dates. If you see a workshop you'd like to attend, I'd recommend booking sooner rather than later.

Some frequently asked questions

When will Jewellery School Scotland close?

My final jewellery-making workshops will take place by March 2027. All currently planned dates are available to book on the website.

Can I still book a workshop?

Absolutely! Workshops are running as normal until March 2027, subject to availability. You can see all the upcoming dates and book your place online.

I have a gift voucher. Can I still use it?

Yes, if you have an existing gift voucher, please book your workshop as soon as possible so you have the best choice of remaining dates. If you're having difficulty finding a suitable workshop, please get in touch so we can discuss the options available under your voucher terms. Email anna@jewelleryschoolscotland.co.uk

Can I still buy a gift voucher?

As there is now less than 6 months to go, I'm no longer selling new gift vouchers, but you can book a place on a specific workshop as a gift. This could be a lovely Christmas present for someone who enjoys creative experiences or has always wanted to try making their own jewellery.

Will there be any more workshop dates added?

All my currently planned dates are now online. I may be able to add a couple more silver clay taster workshops, depending on availability at the Arienas Collective, but these aren't guaranteed. We only have a limited number of weeks left, and I believe all weekend dates are now spoken for so I likely won’t be able to add any that aren’t midweek.

Are you continuing to teach jewellery making somewhere else?

I don't have plans to continue teaching jewellery-making workshops at another venue. This is a decision to focus on the next chapter of my work, rather than a move to a different location.

What's next for you?

I'll be focusing on Good Girl Rebellion, my writing, and speaking at conferences, business events and within organisations.

My work explores the expectations that shape women's choices, particularly around confidence, visibility, ambition and earning power. If you're looking for a speaker for an upcoming event, I'd love to hear from you.

You can find out more at Good Girl Rebellion.

Thank you for being part of Jewellery School Scotland

It's difficult to put almost ten years into a few paragraphs.

One of the things I've always loved about teaching silver clay is watching people discover what they can create, often surprising themselves in the process. I've seen people arrive feeling convinced they aren't creative, only to leave a few hours later proudly wearing something they've made themselves.

I've also had people return for several workshops, bring friends and family members, and recommend silver clay to others. That support has meant so much to me.

I'm so grateful to everyone who's been part of Jewellery School Scotland over the years, whether you've attended a workshop, bought a gift voucher, recommended me to someone else or followed along from a distance.

I'm looking forward to enjoying these last few months of workshops and hopefully seeing some familiar faces, as well as welcoming some new ones, before I finish.

Thank you for being part of it.
