make a scottish silver necklace

3 hours

£65 (includes all materials, sterling silver chain or keyring, velvet pouch and refreshments)

This 3-hour workshop is exclusive to Air BnB Experiences but you don't need to be a tourist or staying in an Air BnB to book!

On this 3-hour workshop, you will make your own recycled silver pendant for a necklace or keyring as a memento of your trip to Scotland. Choose from a Highland coo, bagpipes, thistle, a teabag, a teapot, a stag and more!

Learn how to make a silver pendant or keyring from silver clay. We will be using specially created moulds for making your own silver keepsake as well as an additional stamped piece. You will make everything yourself, stamp letters/numbers, file and finish your piece ready for firing. You will then fire your piece with a jewellers torch (with help!) and turn the clay into silver and finally polish it up ready to wear. The finished piece is real silver of hallmark quality.
