Five reasons to invest in yourself (with no guilt!)
This week I was interviewed for an episode on the Jewellers Academy podcast. You may know, I work part-time as the Community Manager for Jewellers Academy and this is actually my third time on the podcast but I think it’s the best - so far! Jessica, founder of JA, and I spoke about the reasons it’s good to invest in yourself with no guilt.
2020, as for many people, was both excruciatingly difficult and also completely awesome. One of the reasons it was awesome was that I invested in a training program to become a life coach. Given that I lost a third of my income because I was unable to teach for the vast majority of the year it didn’t look on the surface to be the right thing to do at all. But I had an intuition about it and I’ve learnt to follow that now - from all the times I’ve done the right thing and the wrong thing. So I went for it. And it really has changed everything. I’ve become a part of a tribe of coaches from all around the world who are just shining lights. I’ve learnt skills that look simple but really work. I know this because they’ve been practiced on me as we learn!
So I was excited to talk to Jess about this subject because I’m really living it right now.
